What the Registry Contains

Each ILDA dossier includes the following publicly accessible information:

• Certification Status — Active, Suspended, or Revoked
• Accredited Laboratory — Name and ILDA accreditation number of the certifying facility
• Origin Summary — Type of source material (hair, ashes, etc.) and collection date
• Spectroscopic Profile — Raman, FTIR, and UV-Vis results with downloadable spectra
• Grading Report — Carat weight, color, clarity, and cut grade (if applicable)
• Audit Trail — Chain of custody verification checkpoints

How to Read a Dossier Number

ILDA dossier numbers follow a standardized format: ILDA-YYYY-###-####

• ILDA — Association prefix
• YYYY — Year of certification (e.g., 2025)
• ### — Laboratory accreditation ID (e.g., 003 = BioGem Lab)
• #### — Sequential certificate number within that year

Example: ILDA-2025-003-0084 indicates a diamond certified in 2025 by BioGem Lab (ILDA-003), certificate number 84 of that year. You can verify the laboratory's current accreditation status at any time through our Member Directory.

Privacy Boundaries

The registry respects the privacy of the deceased and their families. While spectroscopic and certification data is public, the following information is never disclosed:

• Personal names or identifying information of the deceased
• Purchaser or recipient information
• Financial transaction details
• Specific geographic location of the manufacturing facility (beyond country)

Dispute Resolution

If a registry entry appears incorrect or a certificate is questioned, any party may file a dispute with the ILDA Ethics Review Panel. The Panel will independently re-verify the spectroscopic data and chain-of-custody documentation within 30 days.
